Sudarshan Shetty

L’artiste

Né en 1961 à Mangalore, Sudarshan Shetty vit et travaille à Mumbai en Inde. D’abord formé comme peintre, il s’ouvre plus tard à la sculpture et aux installations, qui constituent désormais l’ensemble de son œuvre. Cet artiste conceptuel est connu pour ses installations sculpturales énigmatiques, souvent animées. Ses constructions hybrides et poétiques interrogent la fusion des traditions indiennes et occidentales mais aussi les préoccupations domestiques et la question du mouvement.

Du 12 décembre 2012 au 13 mars 2013 The Kochi-Muziris Biennale is an international exhibition of contemporary art being held in Kochi, Kerala.
The exhibition will be set in spaces across Kochi, Muziris and surrounding islands. There will be shows in existing galleries and halls, and site-specific installations in public spaces, heritage buildings and disused structures.
