Bilal Hamdad presents his painting Vermillon, 2024, a café scene with red stools, at MoCo in Montpellier. The exhibition L’esprit de l’atelier, curated by Numa Hambursin, features the work of 16 artists taught by Djamel Tatah at the Beaux-Arts in Paris and will be accompanied by a catalogue.

Nearly 400 drawings by 120 artists will be on display, spotlighting the rich collection of the Centre Pompidou’s Graphic Art Department, including La vision de Robert Walser (paupière supérieure, paupière inférieure), an ink, gouache, and chalk on paper work by Jean-Michel Alberola. A melancholic, colorless scene commemorating the end of Walser, the Swiss writer found dead in the snow.
Exhibition co-produced by the GrandPalaisRmn and the Centre Pompidou.
