With Threads of Life, Chiharu Shiota fills the Hayward Gallery in London with her red and black threads, stretching from floor to ceiling. Keys and thank-you letters are suspended by the artist in the first rooms, while the installation During Sleep concludes the exhibition in a space where black threads are woven around a series of metal beds.

Aix-en-Provence is granting Jeanne Vicerial a carte blanche to take over four of the city’s heritage sites. The Musée du Pavillon Vendôme stages the creative process while the costumes created for the ballet-opera Atys come to life at the Musée des Tapisseries. Works are brought together in the Chapelle de la Visitation, in a ritualistic setting, while photographs taken in collaboration with Leslie Moquin adorn the sculpture gallery of the Musée Granet.
