À l’occasion de la 60e exposition internationale d’art – La Biennale di Venezia en avril, le peintre, sculpteur et poète américain Jim Dine investira le Palazzo Rocca Contarini Corfù avec une ambitieuse exposition sous le commissariat de Gerhard Steidl, directeur fondateur du Kunsthaus Göttingen. Jim Dine – Dog on the Forge est un événement collatéral de la 60e exposition internationale d’art – La Biennale di Venezia, organisée par Adriano Pedrosa. L’exposition de Jim Dine ouvrira au public le samedi 20 avril 2024 et se poursuivra jusqu’au 21 juillet 2024.

On the occasion of the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia this April, American painter, sculptor and poet Jim Dine is set to take over the Palazzo Rocca Contarini Corfù with an ambitious survey exhibition curated by Gerhard Steidl, Founding Director of the Kunsthaus Göttingen. Jim Dine – Dog on the Forge is a Collateral Event of the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, curated by Adriano Pedrosa. Jim Dine’s show will open to the public on Saturday, 20 April 2024 and will run through 21 July, 2024.

Chiharu Shiota has created the original artwork Universe of Mouton for the label of Château Mouton Rothschild 2021. Since 1945, the labels for each vintage of Château Mouton Rothschild have been illustrated by an original artwork, adding year after year to the unique collection of contemporary art which brings together very different artists from many different backgrounds.

Dans le cadre de Moving Image Media Part, Iván Navarro présente son œuvre vidéo Silent Homeless Lamp sur un panneau publicitaire sur Sunset Boulevard à Los Angeles jusqu’au 31 janvier 2024. L’artiste utilise ce qui est devenu le symbole universel de l’éphémère – un chariot de supermarché – pour allégoriser notre complicité collective et l’épuisement des ressources qu’il faut pour s’attaquer à quelque chose qui, s’il avait été vu, aurait pu être évité.

As part of Moving Image Media Part, Iván Navarro is presenting his video work Silent Homeless Lamp on a billboard on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles until January 31, 2024. The artist uses what has become the universal symbol of transience – a shopping cart – to allegorize our collective complicity and the draining of resources that it requires to address something that, if seen, could have been prevented. Navarro’s cart persists, lit with a blinding white glow. A beacon of hope, a lamp, to light the way for all.
