Jan Fabre participe à l’exposition ‘Jacques Chirac ou le dialogue des cultures’ au Musée du Quai Branly jusqu’au 9 octobre 2016.
Ce portrait des positions culturelles de Jacques Chirac dressé à l’occasion du dixième anniversaire du musée permet de (re)découvrir la passion de l’ancien Président de la République pour l’Asie ou pour le Japon. Les 200 œuvres exposées lient l’histoire politique et culturelle française, européenne ou mondiale ainsi que les positions et choix professionnels et personnels de Jacques Chirac.

Jan Fabre is in the group show ‘Chirac ou le dialogue des cultures’ at Musée du Quai Branly until Oct 9.
Jaques Chirac’s positions regarding culture will be the subject of this show for the 10th anniversary of the museum. The exhibited works enable to rediscover the president’s passion for Asia or Japon. The 200 works of the exhibition will emphasize political and cultural, European and global, history as well as professional and personal decisions of Jacques Chirac.

Dans le cadre de la manifestation IN SITU Patrimoine et art contemporain 2016 en Languedoc Roussillon Midi Pyrénées, Daniel Dezeuze présente dans l’église un ensemble d’œuvres Nefs ( 2010, 2011) qui participent de son travail exploratoire concernant la structure grillagée.
Posées au sol, fonctionnant à plusieurs comme un ensemble, elles proposent une occupation volumétrique spécifique fonctionnant sur la notion de découpe et de vide. La référence architecturale induite par leur appellation nous conduit à les percevoir comme le redoublement de la structure même de l’église.

Within the framework of the IN SITU show, bringing together landmarks and contemporary art, in the French region Languedoc Roussillon Midi Pyrénées, Daniel Dezeuze presents in the church of Boule d’Amont his grid works nefs (2010, 2011).
Set on the ground, alone or within an ensemble, the volume of these grids inhibites the space based on the concept of cutting outs and empty forms. The architectural reference in the grids seems to reflect the structure of the church.

Cette exposition majeure réunira plus de 70 oeuvres – tableaux, dessins, photographies – dans les murs séculaires de la Chapelle Saint-Sauveur, du 18 juin au 9 octobre 2016. Elle comportera aussi nombre d’activités annexes, dont l’organisation du “Concours Valerio Adami”, à la manière du concours Jan Voss, qui a séduit de nombreux d’habitants du Pays de Saint-Malo, l’an passé. Régulièrement exposées dans de très importantes galeries, les oeuvres de Valerio Adami ont depuis longtemps rejoint le patrimoine artistique  contemporain. On les trouve dans les villes et collections les plus prestigieuses en Europe et à l’étranger.

It will also include many additional activities, including the organization of the “Contest Valerio Adami, “in the manner of Jan Voss contest, which attracted many inhabitants of the Saint-Malo, last year. Regularly exhibited in very important galleries, the works of Valerio Adami have long since joined the contemporary artistic heritage. They are found in the cities and most prestigious collections in Europe and abroad.

Le Musée de l’Hospice Saint-Roch d’Issoudun consacre, du 18 juin au 11 septembre, ses espaces d’expositions temporaires à l’œuvre de l’artiste Valerio Adami, présentant 80 œuvres, photographies, dessins et peintures, de la fin des années 60 à aujourd’hui.
Valerio Adami s’illustre comme l’une des figures majeures de la Figuration Narrative dont les compositions s’inspirent de documents photographiques et le graphisme de la bande dessinée. Sa peinture se caractérise par des aplats colorés, cernés d’une ligne noire. Le dessin épuré détermine des formes fragmentées qui associent des éléments symboliques personnels, souvenirs de ses voyages, de ses expériences  musicales, théâtrales ou littéraires.

The Museum of the Hospice Saint-Roche of Issoudun devotes its exhibition spaces to the Artiste Valeria Adami from June 18 to September 11, 2016 by showing 80 works, photographs, drawings as well as paintings from the end of the 1960s to present.
Valerio Adami is one of the main figures of the Narrative Figuration movement whose works are inspired by photographic documents and the style of comic books. Flat color blocks framed by a black line characterize his paintings. The reduced drawings show fragments that associate personal symbolic motives, memories of journeys, some of his experiences in the fields of music, theater or literature.

Après la Haus der Kunst de Munich, c’est au tour de BOZAR d’ouvrir ses portes à James Casebere. Ce photographe américain, pionnier de la photographie de mise en scène, a suivi les cours de John Baldessari et obtenu un diplôme de Master en art au California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). Son travail témoigne de sa passion pour l’architecture. Mais, plutôt que de braquer son objectif sur des bâtiments, il les reproduit à l’échelle pour les photographier par la suite. Lors de la biennale internationale de la photographie, Casebere présente un ensemble complexe d’intérieurs dans les antichambres du Palais des Beaux-Arts de Victor Horta.

Following a major retrospective at the Haus der Kunst in Munich, BOZAR opens its doors to James Casebere. This American photographer ­ a pioneer of staged photogrpahy – studied with John Baldessari and obtained his Master of Arts from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). His work is marked by a profound interest in architecture. Yet rather than focusing his lens on the actual buildings, he makes scale models of them, which he then photographs. During the International Biennial of Photography Casebere presents an intricate ensemble of domestic interiors and settings in the antechambers of Victor Horta’s Centre for Fine Arts.
