THE MODERN ART MUSEUM OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, USAdu 20/09/2015 au 10/01/2016  

Le Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth présente Kehinde Wiley : A New Republic, la première rétrospective de l’artiste américain Kehinde Wiley, après une étape remarquée au Brooklyn Museum de New York. L’exposition réunit près d’une soixantaine de pièces, qui mettent en avant l’ampleur de l’œuvre de Kehinde Wiley. Après son étape new-yorkaise, l’exposition sera présentée au Modern Art Museum de Forth Worth, Texas (16 octobre 2015 – 10 janvier 2016), au Seattle Art Museum, Washington (12 février – 8 mai 2016) et au Virginia Museum of Fine Art, Richmond, Virginia ( 3 juin – 5 septembre 2016).

THE MODERN ART MUSEUM OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, USAFrom 09/20/2015 to 01/10/2016   

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth presents Kehinde Wiley: A New Republic, an overview highlighting the range of the artist’s prolific 14-year career and comprising approximately 60 works. This exhibition is organized by the Brooklyn Museum and Eugenie Tsai, the John and Barbara Vogelstein Curator of Contemporary Art at the Brooklyn Museum.
Following its New York showing, the exhibition will travel to the Modern Art Museum of Forth Worth, Texas (October 16, 2015 – January 10, 2016), the Seattle Art Museum, Washington (February 12 – May 8, 2016) and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond, Virginia (June 3 – September 5, 2016).

Caro dans le Yorkshire est un projet exceptionnel porté par le Yorkshire Sculpture Triangle, qui rend hommage à l’extraordinaire carrière du sculpteur Sir Anthony Caro ( 1924-2003). Différentes mais complémentaires, les expositions au Hepworth Wakefield et au Yorkshire Sculpture Park s’attachent respectivement à l’intérêt porté par Sir Caro à la question du plan horizontal, ou celle de la peinture. Ces axes sont mis en valeur et en contexte grâce au programme académique du prestigieux Henry Moore Institute de Leeds.

  Caro in Yorkshire is a major Yorkshire Sculpture Triangle project that celebrates and commemorates the extraordinary career of SIr Anthony Caro (1924–2013). Distinct yet complementary exhibitions at The Hepworth Wakefield and Yorkshire Sculpture Park consider respectively Caro’s concerns with the horizontal plane and painting, given context through an academic programme at the prestigious Henry Moore Institute, Leeds.

L’espace culturel Louis Vuitton de Tokyo présente un ensemble de mosaïques issu des séries Hommage à Jérôme Bosch au Congo, fruit d’un processus artistique qui s’est étendu de 2011 à 2013. Utilisant l’un de ses matériaux de prédilection, les élytres de scarabées, Jan Fabre décide de s’attaquer au passé colonial de son pays. Il invite également son prédécesseur Jérôme Bosch, fasciné par sa créativité superlative et la puissance de ses images. Il s’inspire des scènes du Jardin des délices pour les réinterpréter en allégories de l’injustice, de la cruauté et de l’indifférence.

TRIBUTE TO HIERONYMUS BOSCH IN CONGO

The Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton in Tokyo is showing for the first time in Tokyo a set of mosaics from the serie: Hommage à Jérôme Bosch au Congo, fruits of an artistic process that ran from 2011 to 2013. Using his materials of predilection, beetle wing sheathes – or elytra – Fabre decided to turn his focus to his country’s colonial past. He also summons his predecessor Hieronymus Bosch — Fabre is fascinated by his superlative creativity and the power of his images. He draws inspiration from scenes depicted in the Garden of Earthly Delights, reinterpreting them as allegories of injustice, cruelty and indifference.
