Le Musée Mohammed VI d’Art Moderne et Contemporain consacre à Kehinde Wiley une exposition personnelle jusqu’au 15 juin 2025. Initialement organisée par le Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, l’exposition Dédale du pouvoir présente une série de onze portraits de chefs d’État africains, où l’artiste dépasse les simples contours de la figuration pour explorer plus profondément la notion du pouvoir et sa représentation.

Originally organised by the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, the exhibition A Maze of Power presents a series of eleven portraits of African heads of states, in which the artist goes beyond the simple contours of figuration to explore more deeply the notion of power and its representation.

Cette exposition intitulée Vénus s’inscrit dans la lignée de son projet du Grand Paris Express dans la gare Saint-Denis – Pleyel en tandem avec l’architecte Kengo Kuma ainsi que dans la continuité de La Terre qui m’est Chair visant à récolter une poignée de la terre qui compte pour les habitantes de Saint Denis tout en racontant son histoire.

The exhibition, entitled Vénus, follows on from her Grand Paris Express project in the Saint-Denis – Pleyel station, in tandem with the architect Kengo Kuma, and is an extension of La Terre qui m’est Chair, which aims to harvest a handful of the earth that matters to the women of Saint-Denis while telling its story.
