Artiste fondateur du mouvement Supports/Surfaces , Daniel Dezeuze est reconnu pour en être également l’un des principaux théoriciens. Comme sa poésie, incisive et humoristique, le dessin est pour l’artiste une façon de regarder le monde de manière légère. Au delà du « grand dessinateur» que l’on sait être Dezeuze,c’est donc cette liberté d’esprit que l’exposition organisée par le Frac LanguedocRoussillon entend mettre en évidence.

commissaire de Biennale de Kochi Muziris en 2016. Basé à Mumbai, Sudarshan Shetty est l’un des artistes indiens les plus innovants de sa génération. Il s’est fait connaître par ses installations sculpturales énigmatiques. L’artiste a exprimé le souhait de travailler à une vision de la Biennale tournée vers ‘le peuple’. Les deux premières éditions de la Biennale de Kochi-Muziris, en 2012 et 2014, ont attiré près d’un million de visiteurs. En tant que projet d’art contemporain, la Biennale a contribué à renouveler le positionnement culturel de l’Inde, et a installé Kochi et l’état du Kerala en Inde sur la carte culturelle mondiale.

The Kochi Biennale Foundation announced Sudarshan Shetty as the artistic director and curator of the third edition of Kochi-Muziris Biennale. Shetty, best known for his enigmatic sculptural installations, has long been recognized as one of his generation’s most innovative artists in India. The artist declared he was happy to work towards the vision of a “People’s Biennale”. The first two editions of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, held in 2012 and 2014, had a combined draw of nearly a million visitors. The biennale as a contemporary art project has renewed India’s cultural positioning and has placed Kochi and Kerala on the global cultural map.

Le Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth présente Kehinde Wiley : A New Republic, la première rétrospective de l’artiste américain Kehinde Wiley, après une étape remarquée au Brooklyn Museum de New York. L’exposition réunit près d’une soixantaine de pièces, qui mettent en avant l’ampleur de l’œuvre de Kehinde Wiley. Après son étape new-yorkaise, l’exposition sera présentée au Modern Art Museum de Forth Worth, Texas (16 octobre 2015 – 10 janvier 2016), au Seattle Art Museum, Washington (12 février – 8 mai 2016) et au Virginia Museum of Fine Art, Richmond, Virginia ( 3 juin – 5 septembre 2016).

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth presents Kehinde Wiley: A New Republic, an overview highlighting the range of the artist’s prolific 14-year career and comprising approximately 60 works. This exhibition is organized by the Brooklyn Museum and Eugenie Tsai, the John and Barbara Vogelstein Curator of Contemporary Art at the Brooklyn Museum.
Following its New York showing, the exhibition will travel to the Modern Art Museum of Forth Worth, Texas (October 16, 2015 – January 10, 2016), the Seattle Art Museum, Washington (February 12 – May 8, 2016) and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond, Virginia (June 3 – September 5, 2016).

Caro dans le Yorkshire est un projet exceptionnel porté par le Yorkshire Sculpture Triangle, qui rend hommage à l’extraordinaire carrière du sculpteur Sir Anthony Caro ( 1924-2003). Différentes mais complémentaires, les expositions au Hepworth Wakefield et au Yorkshire Sculpture Park s’attachent respectivement à l’intérêt porté par Sir Caro à la question du plan horizontal, ou celle de la peinture. Ces axes sont mis en valeur et en contexte grâce au programme académique du prestigieux Henry Moore Institute de Leeds.
